"Breakfast was a letdown"
I was really hoping for a decent breakfast, but it was disappointing. The eggs were cold, and the coffee was so weak it barely tasted like anything. I don’t usually complain, but for what I paid, I’d expect better—at least an apology would’ve been nice

"We stayed here for a short break..."
We stayed here for a short break and it was fine overall, but I don’t think it was worth what we paid. The room was clean, but basic, and the food and drinks felt expensive for what you actually get. The spa was nice, but not amazing enough to justify the price. One thing that annoyed us was getting inconsistent answers from staff about things like booking times and what was included, which made the stay feel more frustrating than relaxing at times. I expected a bit more for the money.

"Pool and activities were hit or miss"
We booked mostly because of the pool and the extra rec stuff, so it was kind of a letdown. The pool was hit or miss — fun for a little while, but it felt crowded and didn’t seem super clean. The change rooms were messy too, which didn’t help. There also weren’t as many activities as we expected, so the kids got bored quickly. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but for what we were hoping for, it just wasn’t really worth it...

Food tasted fine just didn’t really wow me or anything. Portions felt kinda small too, so I was still a little hungry after. Not bad, just okay yknow.

I had a question about my booking and wasn’t totally sure if I’d get a reply in time, but they got back to me so fast it basically erased all my worry on the spot. The team was genuinely friendly too, and I’m 100% certain it was an actual helpful response, not some generic copy-and-paste answer.
It made the whole situation feel way less stressful, which I appreciated more than I can even explain. Customer service that feels like real people makes such a huge difference, and I would absolutely, without a doubt, book with tigh-na-mara again...

"Maintenance was quick to respond"
From my experience, the repair process was smooth. Maintenance showed up faster than I expected and took care of most of the issues without much hassle. There were maybe a couple things that could’ve been more thorough, but overall it was handled quickly and I appreciated the prompt response.

"Really good dinner, honestly"
We had a really nice dinner here. Our server was super friendly, like, just easygoing and attentive without hovering. The food came out quickly too, which was great because we were hungry... and everything we ordered tasted really good. I’d definitely go back

"Loved being right by the ocean"
We stayed at Tigh-Na-Mara the oceanfront location was the highlight for us. My sister and I loved waking up and being able to stroll down to the beach so easily — it made the whole trip feel calm and relaxed.

It’s quiet, beautiful, and just really nice being that close to the water. We ended up spending way more time outside than we expected, just enjoying the view and the fresh air. I’d happily come back again...

"Such a relaxing spa day"
I had such a nice time at the grotto spa. The mineral pool was probably my favorite part. Just warm, calm, easy to completely zone out. Then the quiet lounge after... so peaceful. I didn’t even realize how much I needed that until I was sitting there doing absolutely nothing. The staff were really friendly too, which made the whole day feel even better. Left feeling super relaxed. i’d happily go back.

"Close to the beach, but the stairs got old"
Being so close to the beach was definitely the best part, and it made the stay convenient. That said, the stairs were more tiring than I expected, especially after going back and forth a few times. Overall it was a nice stay, but the stairs did take away from it a bit.

"Such a comfy room"
I stayed for two nights and the room was just really cozy, like the kind of place where you put your bag down and immediately feel like you can relax. The bed was soft, the pillows were actually good, which is not always the case at hotels, and it was nice and quiet at night. I ended up sleeping way better than I thought I would, so yeah, no complaints there.

"Cozy stay, would come back again"
We stayed in one of the cottages and had a good experience overall. It was clean and comfortable, and the beds were really nice. A few spots did feel a little worn, like the sofa and some marks on the walls, but nothing that ruined the stay. The kitchen had what we needed, and it worked well for us. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for a simple, relaxing getaway...

"Grounds were disappointing"
The resort grounds were a letdown. A lot of the place looked tired and not very well cared for, with debris on the paths and some areas just feeling messy. It didn’t make walking around feel relaxing or enjoyable. I also didn’t really feel confident bringing it up with customer service, since it didn’t seem like the kind of thing they’d actually take seriously.

"Nice spa, but the waiting tested me"
The spa itself was relaxing and the staff were genuinely nice, but the wait time was way too long. I felt like I was being forced to practice patience when I just came to unwind. The change rooms were also a bit crowded, which made the whole thing feel less calming than I hoped. Nice spot overall, just feels a little overpriced for the experience

"I finally got to fully relax"
I had such a nice, calming time here. The whole place felt quiet and easygoing, which was exactly what I needed. I didn’t feel rushed at all, so I could just slow down, do things at my own pace, and actually enjoy the peaceful vibe around the resort.
